That's what I love about the web. Something may seem entirely trivial to one person, and then when you google it, it turns out to be a source of excitement, debate, and passion for about a zillion people.
I mean, it is the first buffalo nickel since 1938, and the first nickle since the introduction of the jefferson nickel in 1939 to change jefferson's portrait. And, as you mention, jefferson's handwritten "liberty." Very cool.
