I wouldn't expect the folks at Disney to understand the distinction between Cajun and "hillbilly"/Appalachian. I wouldn't even necessarily expect a Delawarian (if that's the word?) -- not even one with an interesting blog -- to be aurally sensitive to the distinction between the accents. But to my ear and cultural interests, putting James Carville in a Disney animated film about "hillbillies", (and saying in a humorous vein that he'd be good as the voice of Foghorn Leghorn) is sort of like saying that Montreal and New York City are pretty much the same, and that people from both of those cities sound like JFK.
